Introduction to Kabbalah: Concepts and History to Enhance Your Understanding

Hosted By: My Jewish Learning

My Jewish Learning will host an online class on kabbalah, taught by University of Haifa Professor J.H. Chajes. The four-session course will cover the history of the kabbalistic tradition, its modern transformation in early Hasidism, and major concepts such as the soul, reincarnation, and spirit possession. Participants will gain a baseline understanding of kabbalah practice and its historical context, including the study of kabbalistic trees known as “ilanot.” Chajes, widely recognized as a leading kabbalah intellectual, will combine history and practical knowledge throughout the course.
