Albert Einstein, Scientific Publishing, and One Family’s Journey

Jeff Metzger’s family established Academische Verlagesellhaft in Germany and later Academic Press in the US. They enlisted Einstein to write his 1915 manuscript on Theory of Special Relativity that first included “E=mc2.” Einstein helped the family escape to the US.
