Hillel Smith captures joy in line and colour on works ranging from large scale to three dimensional objects. His design solutions are both whimsical and wise. Concentrating on making “cutting edge Judaica”— his art mixes ancient Jewish texts and Jewish ritual practices with modern media and aesthetics. His approach is to reimagine what Judaica and Jewish art looks like in the 21st century. He will share with us the backstory of his art.
