Kurt Weill, An American Story

Hosted By: The Center for Jewish History

An in-depth exploration of the life, career and music of Kurt Weill, the famous German/Jewish/American composer whose career spanned several continents and whose music ranged from the concert hall to the stage to the jazz club. Vintage audio clips and “live” performances from the instructor will make this program as exciting as the music itself. This two-part presentation will include a detailed discussion of “Mack the Knife,” everyone’s favorite song about a serial killer.
