Rachel is an adjunct assistant professor of Talmud at JTS, where she was voted Professor of the Year in 2018. She was a Wabash Teaching Fellow at JTS, and a fellow at the Center for Jewish Law and Contemporary Civilization at Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School. She teaches at Central Synagogue, Lincoln Square Synagogue, and in a variety of other settings. She has also served on the faculty of the Maimonides Scholars Program, Nishma: A Summer of Torah Study, and Drisha.

Rachel earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Drisha Scholars Circle.
