Louis Armstrong, one of the legends of jazz, wore a Star of David around his neck his whole life, in honor of the Jewish family that helped raise him. In this presentation, you will learn more about the Karnoffsky family who were immigrants who gave Satchmo the support and guidance he needed to become an American icon.
Jim Ryan is a long time TCC member and volunteer. He is a history enthusiast and a writer, the author of The Pirates of New York and Red Jenny and the Pirates of Buffalo: A Novel of Consequences.
