Meet Letty Cottin Pogrebin, Co-Founder of Ms. Magazine
Hosted By: The Braid
In a time when it feels like the rights of women and the safety of the Jewish people are increasingly eroding, come learn and be inspired by a fearless and inspiring Jewish woman: Letty Cottin Pogrebin. As the co-founder of Ms. Magazine, Pogrebin brought the cause of women’s liberation to the world with sharp insights and feisty wit. As one of the founders of a pioneering Women’s Seder in 1976, she transformed the Jewish world to ensure women would always have a seat at the table. Letty will discuss her new memoir, Shanda: A Memoir of Shame and Secrecy, in which she reveals family secrets, roads not taken, private failings, and other incidents that induce shanda, the Yiddish word for shame. Featuring a performance by acclaimed actor Bari Hochwald Cagnola of a true story by Letty!
