Curator Ariella Wolens will present a talk on the late Dutch artist Jacqueline de Jong (1939-2024), a Jewish artist and member of the resistance during World War II. De Jong, known for her involvement in the 1960s Paris avant-garde, used art as a form of resistance throughout her life, working across various mediums including painting, printmaking, and sculpture. This event is part of the online series “Flight or Fight: Stories of Artists Under Repression,” organized by the Fritz Ascher Society for Persecuted, Ostracized and Banned Art.
