Next Year in the White House: Barack Obama’s First Presidential Seder
Hosted By: Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program ("CSP")
The Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program hosts a book talk with Eric Lesser and Richard Michelson about the true story of how a small Seder on the 2008 campaign trail led to the first Presidential Passover celebration at the White House. In 2009, Passover joined Christmas and Easter as officially observed holidays, following a basement Seder attended by campaign staff and then-candidate Barack Obama. Their story is now told for young readers in a picture book by Michelson, illustrated by EB Lewis.
