Shalom Y’all: Jewish History & Identity in the American South

Hosted By: The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning

This three-part class introduces students to the deep roots and regional features of Southern Jewish life, with a focus on the two communities that we will travel to in November: Savannah and Charleston.

Our learning adventure will start in the classroom, where we all take a deep dive into three key areas of Southern Jewish life: settlement, Civil War and Civil Rights. We invite you to continue the journey on the cobblestone streets of Charleston and Savannah from November 14-18, 2022. Learn more here.
