Shemini Atzeret, Rain, and Resurrection

Hosted By: Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS)

The High Holiday season concludes with Shemini Atzeret, the Eighth Day of Assembly. Traditionally, Rosh Hashanah marks the writing of our fate for the year, Yom Kippur its sealing, and Shemini Atzeret its sending. In this session, Rabbi Mychal Springer will explore the themes of the holiday, reflecting on the weight of last year’s massacre, the war it ignited, and the collective pain, while considering the need for healing and renewal.
