Sinai: Commandment and Covenant

Hosted By: Haberman Institute

The experience of Sinai (Exodus chapters 19-24) has three aspects. It is described as a great revelation. It is the granting of sets of rules, regulations, and observances. And it is the establishment of a covenantal relationship. This session will discuss all three components but our focus will be the covenant that emerges from the revealed law through an analysis of a series of close readings. Gain a deeper understanding of this critical text as we approach the holiday of Shavuot.
