Steinberg before STEINBERG

Hosted By: The Fritz Ascher Society for Persecuted, Ostracized and Banned Art

In this presentation, Mario Tedeschini Lalli, an Italian journalist and scholar of 20th-century history, will tell the story of Saul Steinberg (1914-1999) before he became STEINBERG, the majuscules with which he signed his most well-known art. The discussion will include some of his public art, clandestine art, personal art, and even his top-secret art.
