Studying the Book (Megillah) of Esther

Hosted By: Temple Beth Abraham

Temple Beth Abraham’s regular Thursday morning study group with Noreen Leibson and Rabbi Jon will spend two sessions exploring the Biblical book of Esther (Megillat Esther): A book without mention of God or explicit descriptions of religion; a book with strong female characters; a book of chance and randomness, purpose and destiny; a book of hidden and unmasked identities; a book of anti-Semitism and community. No Hebrew or any prior knowledge needed.
