SVIVAH Women*s Empowerment Workshop: Negotiation

Hosted By: SVIVAH

We negotiate every single day.

In a corner office or across a boardroom table. If you’re having power-coffee or hiring a contractor. If you’re advocating for better services for someone in your care or figuring out your freelancing rate. If you’re getting your tires changed or accepting your first summer job.

SVIVAH starts 2022 with Dr. Sara Shapiro-Plevan, CEO of the Gender Equity in Hiring Project and learning to approach negotiations from a position of power.

This workshop focus will go far beyond the workplace environment and is appropriate for everyone.

We know not everyone has access to professional coaching. We’re excited to bring some fantastic professional coaches into our SVIVAH circle to join us in learning with and from each other.

*As always, SVIVAH welcomes anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women*. We define “Jewish” and “women” broadly. If you want to be here, we want you to be here. And, welcome.

SVIVAH

SVIVAH’s mission is to empower, strengthen, and nourish Jewish women* through community. SVIVAH is a multigenerational, diverse, powerful collective of Jewish women* dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and celebrating life in sisterhood. In Hebrew, svivah means “to surround her'' and that is precisely our goal. We connect women to each other, to cross-generational wisdom, to Jewish learning, and to the resources we need, in an inclusive, women*-only space. We do this by curating Jewish faith experiences with women at the center, by producing wide-ranging programming, and by amplifying and partnering with organizations in line with our values. (*SVIVAH defines “Jewish woman” as anyone wishing to be included in a circle of Jewish women.)
