Dr. Barry Perlman returned to New York following his graduation from Yale Medical School. After interning at NYU/ Bellevue Medical Center and doing his residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, he remained there as a member of the faculty until becoming the director of psychiatry at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers. He served as president of the New York State Psychiatric Association, chair of the NYS Mental Health Service Council, and as a member of NY State Hospital’s Review and Planning council.
