Israel Today: Up Close and at a Distance

Hosted By: Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), 70 Faces Media

JTA and 70 Faces Media present a conversation with Haaretz journalist Lee Yaron, author of “10/7: 100 Human Stories,” winner of the 2024 National Jewish Book Award’s Book of the Year. The event will explore the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through deeply personal stories of those affected by the October 7 attacks and their broader historical context. Yaron, the youngest recipient of the award, offers a rare, ground-level perspective shaped by her work covering Israel for Haaretz.

This lecture is presented in memory of our treasured 70 Faces Media colleague, Nate Geller z”l, who passed away in January 2022. Nate was a passionate supporter of Israel and a devoted Jewish learner. Through this annual lecture series, we hope to honor Nate’s memory for many years to come.
