The Spiritual Practice of Relationships
Hosted By: Applied Jewish Spirituality
As human beings, we naturally thrive when we feel connected. While the advancement of technologies provides more opportunities for connection than ever before, ironically, we find ourselves more disconnected and isolated than ever. Attending to the quality of our relationships is key to repairing the emotional and spiritual malaise that results from modern chronic isolation. This event will draw from the ancient wisdom of our Jewish tradition by studying together texts from the Torah and its Rabbinic and Hassidic commentaries. They will create an interactive and shared learning space where we learn from and with one another, sharing not just ideas, but enlisting our hearts and the wisdom of our experiences. They will incorporate experiential practices—guided meditations, journaling, grounded breathing—that will help us integrate and apply the learning we do in class into our everyday lives.
