Weaving Our Poems into History’s Garment

Hosted By: Ritualwell

We’ll explore the work of some fascinating Jewish American poets, such as Horace Traubel (friend of Walt Whitman), experimental Objectivist poets (George Oppen, Charles Reznikoff, and Louis Zukofsky), Muriel Rukeyeser, Denise Levertov, Adrienne Rich and others. Many were steeped in social activism and explorations of the self and the functions that poetry can serve.

Please join us as we follow the threads of past writers. Their writing will inspire our own work, and each participant will receive one individual half-hour session with the instructor during the course of this offering.
