Women Speak Out: Confronting War, Rape, and the Rise in Hate: An Interfaith Conversation
Hosted By: Moment Magazine
As antisemitism and Islamophobia rise and tensions heighten between Muslims and Jews, interfaith dialogue has become more difficult—and more important than ever. Join us for a revealing conversation with Muslim American Zainab Khan, co-founder and chair of the Muslim American Leadership Alliance; Iranian American Shirin Taber, founder and director of Empower Women Media; and Jewish American Heidi Basch-Harod, executive director of Women’s Voices Now. They will discuss with Moment Editor-in-Chief Nadine Epstein the October 7 terrorist attack against Israel and the war with Hamas, the reaction from progressive organizations, women’s rights groups, and their own communities, as well as how their personal backgrounds inform their interfaith work and why they feel obligated to speak out against antisemitism. Presented by Moment Magazine in partnership with The WNET Group’s Exploring Hate reporting initiative.
