Yom HaZikaron is Different This Year
Hosted By: London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS)
Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Remembrance Day, is a deeply emotional occasion, often personally affecting many as most know a soldier who was killed on duty or a victim of terror. This event features a conversation with two Israel educators, who, as immigrants, provide unique perspectives on Israel’s national mourning rituals and their experiences during the war against Hamas. They will discuss the challenges of facing Yom HaZikaron this year, especially considering the ongoing trauma from October 7, and the transition into Yom HaAtzma’ut, Israel’s Independence Day.
