Zoom Presentation: The Plants of the Hebrew Bible with Sharona Liman
Hosted By: Volunteers for Israel (VFI)
More than 100 plant species are mentioned in the Hebrew bible. Some are essential for the story, more are connected to ritual and the Temple work, and the most are used as parables and allegories. Examine some of the most well-known varieties like the seven species, and others less famous, and try to understand the meaning and the symbolism behind them.
