This indulgent knish sandwich takes the beloved Jewish pastry to the next level by stuffing it with delicious deli-style fillings.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 square knishes (such as Gabila’s brand)
  • ¾ – 1 lb sliced pastrami, turkey, corned beef, roast beef or a combination
  • coleslaw (optional)

To serve:

  • spicy brown mustard
  • dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Slice open each knish in half, like it’s a roll.
  2. Place knishes on a baking sheet. Place in oven preheated to 375°F for 5-7 minutes or place under broiler for 3 minutes.
  3. Top bottom half of each knish with pastrami and/or other deli meat. Top with coleslaw if desired.
  4. Serve with spicy brown mustard and dill pickles.
