Everybody loves a good Jewish deli, which has been part of the American culinary landscape, especially in New York City, since the late 1800s. The uniquely American creation reached its height in 1930s New York City, though Jewish delis exist all over the world.
While new ones open every year, sadly, even more are shutting their doors.
Thanks to changing neighborhoods, increasing rents, and even bike lanes, we said goodbye to several prominent Jewish delis in 2018, from Seattle to London.
