Peanut butter lovers, rejoice!

No need to pinch yourself, you’re definitely not dreaming — Bamba, the beloved peanut buttery Israeli snack, will officially hit Walmart stores in the U.S. this month.

The good news was announced on Tuesday by Osem CEO Abi Ben-Assayag during the opening of the Bamba-makers third newest factory in Kiryat Gat, Israel. The company only recently began to market Bamba to mainstream American retail chains, like Trader Joe’s.

“Our dream is to see Bamba in every supermarket in the US and Europe,” the CEO said, according to the Jerusalem Post. Same here, same here.

Not only is the snack delicious, but could have potential health benefits, as well. In 2017, the US National Institute of Health suggested that parents feed their babies peanut-based foods — specifically Bamba — to reduce the chances of developing a nut allergy. The snack will be marketed as a healthy eating product, so basically you can eat Bamba to your heart’s content without feeling guilty.

The enormous new factory will allow Osem to double its Bamba production capacity to fill the increasing demand in the States. Initially, production volume is expected to double to one million bags per day, and eventually 1.5 million. Bamba fanatics can visit the innovative Kiryat Gat factory later this year when the visitor’s center opens to see how the Bamba gets made.

“When we invented Bamba 55 years ago, we never thought it would become the best selling snack in Israel or that it would attract such interest abroad as well,” Osem chairman Dan Propper said.

Walmart isn’t the only store whose shelves will be stocked with Bamba. In the coming months, we can expect various other retail chains and pharmacies to sell the snack as well.

With Bamba taking over the States, looks like we can finally say goodbye to the Cheetos.
