We’re so excited to share our High Holiday Nosher class schedule for 2021! We have a range of cooking and baking classes that will diversify your menus, take your challah shaping game to the next level, and give you the confidence to create a perfect meal whether its for 2 people or 20.

All classes will take place at 7:30 pm ET.

Kreplach Two Ways with Sonya Sanford

On Sunday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET food writer Sonya Sanford will be teaching how to make perfect kreplach with both meat and vegetarian fillings.

On Monday, August 23rd at 7:30 pm ET, Jeffrey Eisner, the “king of instant pot cooking” will show how to use your instant pot to make perfect brisket, in a fraction of the time.

Round Challah Shaping with Cheryl Holbert

On Wednesday, August 25th at 7:30 pm ET, Cheryl Holbert of Nomad Bakery will demonstrate how to create both simple and intricate round challah shapes.You can use her signature challah recipe or vegan challah recipe (or any other challah recipe) if you want to bake along with her.

Apple Babka Two Ways with Shannon Sarna

On Monday August 30th at 7:30 pm ET, Nosher Editor and cookbook author Shannon Sarna will demonstrate how to make sweet apple babka two ways, one with a homemade filling and one using store-bought apple butter.

Apple Cider Braised Chicken with Leah Koenig

On Wednesday, September 1st at 7:30 pm ET acclaimed cookbook author Leah Koenig will teach how to make apple cider braised chicken, a perfect alternative to brisket.

Khoreshte Beh with Tannaz Sassooni

On Sunday, September 12th at 7:30 pm ET food writer Tannaz Sassooni will demonstrate how to make khoreshte beh, a Persian stew traditionally enjoyed before fasting on Yom Kippur.

Syrian Leek Fritters with Sylvia Fallas

On Monday, September 13th at 7:30 pm ET cooking instructor and caterer Sylvia Fallas will share her grandmother’s recipe for Syrian leek patties (edje), a specialty for the Jewish new year.
