Classic Jewish Deli fare is coming to Disney World. That’s right; no longer must you part ways with your favorite deli treats when visiting the happiest place on earth. Opening in late Summer 2022, BoardWalk Deli, set to replace BoardWalk Bakery, will feature a variety of Jewish deli staples, from a pastrami reuben with sauerkraut, to a house-baked everything bagel. The deli will even offer classic Jewish deli sweets like coconut macaroons. It’s the perfect stop after a dizzying afternoon of fast-paced rides and entertainment; all you want after riding Space Mountain is a mountain of schmear, amirite?
The Disney theme parks are known for their vast and diverse array of global cuisine, from German dishes at Biergarten Restaurant to Mexican dishes at Choza de Margarita. And while the brand previously featured matzah ball soup as part of its 2018 Epcot Festival of Holidays, a permanent menu of New York-style deli favorites is certainly a first for the Disney brand. Specific plans and hours of operation have yet to be released, though information can be found on the deli’s website. Located at Disney’s BoardWalk and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you will feel right at home, noshing on these nostalgic comfort foods.
