Well, it’s official: Dubai chocolate is the trendiest hamantaschen of 2025.

In case you’ve missed it, Dubai chocolate is a knafeh, tahini paste and crushed pistachio-filled chocolate bar first created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier in 2021. Since then, this sumptuous dessert with Middle Eastern flavors has become a viral hit, especially in 2023 and 2024, with many online creators attempting to make their own Dubai chocolate bars.

So it’s no surprise, then, that Jewish food personalities have picked up the Dubai chocolate trend just in time for Purim.

Almost everywhere you look online right now, there’s a new recipe for Dubai chocolate hamantaschen. So if you’re looking to expand your palate beyond poppyseed, apricot or prune this year, why not go for the rich, nuttiness of Dubai chocolate? In no particular order, here are some of our favorite recipes from Jewish chefs and foodies:

Eitan Bernath

“Dubai Chocolate Bar Hamantaschen are the only exception I am making to my strict apricot-only rule in my home for Hamantaschen!” Eitan Bernath wrote on Instagram when sharing his recipe. His take on Dubai chocolate hamantaschen boasts a pistachio, kataifi and tahini filling with chocolate dip, providing just a hint of cocoa-y sweetness. If you’re looking for cookies on the larger side, these seem like your best bet.

Wandering Chew

While The Wandering Chew has only teased their Dubai Chocolate recipe, while we wait for it to drop we can peruse the Montreal-based team’s other creative Purim cookie recipes. This includes Cinnamon Bun, Lime and Coconut, Banana Chocolate, Dalgona and Montreal Bagel! Oo la la!

Melinda Strauss

While Melinda Strauss is not strictly a food influencer, her recipe for Dubai chocolate hamantaschen is one of the more creative we’ve seen thanks to its addition of strawberry. Melinda adds freeze-dried strawberries to the dough and as a topping, giving the cookie a nice addition of fruity acidity.

The Jewish Fitness Coach

What this confection lacks in neat presentation, it makes up for in its sheer size. Jewish fitness coach Yoel Levy layers chocolate, pistachio and more chocolate for the filling of his giant hamantaschen. Then, he adds a pistachio paste drizzle for good measure.

Ben Siman Tov

Like Melinda Strauss, Ben Siman Tov makes the recipe a little more his own with orange-scented dough. Yum!

Kfir Refael

Hebrew speakers, this recipe is for you. Like some of the other recipes on this list, Refael creates the hamantaschen filling with pistachio and kataifi and dips the cookie in chocolate after it’s baked. However, he also tops it with some kataifi which works well if your favorite part of Dubai chocolate is the added crispiness of the shredded phyllo dough.
