Have you ever wished you could bottle up all of the global Jewish food goodness that you get from reading The Nosher into one event? If so, we’ve got something exciting for you.
On Sunday, March 16, from 12-5 p.m. ET, The Nosher is holding its second online festival — this year with a focus on global Jewish food. Packed full of cooking classes and discussions, all with an international flavor, this year’s festival will be too delicious to miss.
The best part: It’s all being recorded, so you can pick and choose what to watch live or later on, and all registrants will get to keep eight hours of Nosher programming for just $54.
Are we crazy? Maybe — we just love sharing the beauty of global Jewish food!
The Nosher celebrates the traditions and recipes that have brought Jews together for centuries. Donate today to keep The Nosher's stories and recipes accessible to all.
The day will kick off with a conversation with David Hertz, a Brazilian-Jewish chef behind one of the world’s most successful organizations at combating hunger and training people in underserved areas. Here’s a taste of what else to expect:
- Award-winning author Leah Koenig will teach us how to make artichokes the Roman-Jewish way.
- Pioneering scholar Hélène Jawhara Piñer will talk about unearthing previously unknown recipes from the annals of Sephardic history.
- Brad Mahlof, the winner of PBS’ “The Great American Recipe,” will show us how to cook a Libyan-Jewish fish feast.
- Rami Tal, an Aussie who has made a name in Israel for his delicious takes on Mediterranean classics, will blow our minds with some spicy Israeli flavors.
- Bestselling author Emily Paster will give us a history lesson on French-Jewish food.
